High-voltage training concept for non-technicians
The future of the automotive industry is completely electric. This means that more and more people are coming into contact with a technology they are not trained for: high-voltage. Our goal is to train this group of people effectively, efficiently, and safely. We want to get people excited about this new technology.
We have developed a state-of-the-art two-day F2F training with digital parts such as AR and VR and integrated an escape game. In this training, we teach the basics of electromobility and get people excited about the EQ brand in an innovative and playful manner.
The hands-on experience with electromobility breaks down resistance and prejudices and creates excitement for this future technology. Technical understanding leads to more competent advice for our customers and thus improves customer satisfaction.
The contents of the training include the structure and functionality of electric vehicles, the basics of electrical engineering, battery technology, and the various charging technologies. Practical and theoretical elements are brought together through an innovative mix of methods, including a driving sequence.

What was challenging for you during the project?
Development of the VR sequences and the compilation of different methods in an exciting combo.
What is the take-away for you personally?
The very challenging implementation of the requirements in an F2F training. Above all, however, the enthusiasm of our participants about the variety of media used in the training including the escape game, which makes learning more interesting and easy to remember.
What does the future have in store?
The future of Mercedes-Benz is fully electric! With the new training course “High voltage for non-technicians,” we are preparing our employees in retail for this future.
