On September 17, the fourth World Cleanup Day took place. On this worldwide action day, millions of volunteers set an example together for a clean, healthy, litter-free environment. Over 190 countries took part in the event, cleaning streets, parks, forests and rivers of trash and plastic waste.

The cleanup action planned by our colleagues at our location in Leinfelden-Echterdingen was supported 100% by company management. The necessary equipment was provided, such as reusable collection bags and tongs, and so were subsequent refreshments. Well equipped and divided into various smaller groups, that day we collected and then disposed of a total of 39,33 kg of waste accordingly.

Our colleague Norbert, who took over the day’s project management, is pleased by so much involvement: “It’s absolutely great how many colleagues and family members helped with the action this Saturday. It shows once again how much even a small group can accomplish.”
