Mercedes-Benz Consulting –
a good story right from the start

1997

Kickoff for Mercedes-Benz Consulting in Esslingen-Brühl – but under the name Mercedes-Benz Marketing Academy Services GmbH. Our focus was on training services in retail.

2012

The company repositions itself: In addition to training, consulting for commercial establishments plays an increasing role. A name change to Automotive Training & Consulting GmbH reflects this development.

2016

“Under one roof” is the slogan of the year – and the employees came together at one site in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. The company takes on yet another new name that points up its comprehensive sales expertise: Mercedes-Benz Consulting GmbH.

2017

In addition to training and consulting, we focus on data, technology, and digitalization. We officially move into quarters in Berlin on March 13, 2017.

2022

After more than 12 years, there’s a change at the top of Mercedes-Benz Consulting – we welcome Stefan Herbert as the new CEO. On June 30, 2022, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary and we are exceeding the limit of 400 employees.

Corporate leadership

Stefan Herbert has been Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Consulting GmbH since April 2022. He began his career in 2002 at the DaimlerChrysler-Group, which now operates as Mercedes-Benz Group AG. In addition to his consulting work in retail, Stefan also worked as Vice President, Head of smart at Mercedes-Benz China.

Bettina Friz has been CFO of Mercedes-Benz Consulting GmbH since January 2012. Since the early 1990s, she has held various positions within Mercedes-Benz AG, today known as Mercedes-Benz Group AG, such as in accounting, controlling, and purchasing at the Oldtimer Center, which subsequently became the Classic Center.
