After 2015 and 2017, the saga of our success continues in 2018. On November 20, the Virtual Retail Lab (VRL) was honored as Best of Consulting in the category IT Management by the German business magazine WirtschaftsWoche.
The software is developed internally by Mercedes-Benz Consulting and is a virtual, communicative jack of all trades. In a 3D simulation, processes, roles and initiatives can be represented interactively and embedded in a complete architectural design. The game-like approach of this lifelike process simulation has found a high level of customer acceptance through its intuitive handling. Interrelationships such as opportunities and risks can be identified and new solution approaches developed.
“Use of the VRL is not only suitable for retail, but also for other contexts, such as depicting customer journeys (on- and offline), innovation in electromobility and much more,” explains Sebastian Göbel, Manager Innovation Management at MC. “Developing the VRL has allowed many improvements to be achieved, such as user-friendly representation of highly complex processes. In addition, the VRL is especially flexible, because concepts can be visualized, discussed and developed further using its own editor,” Göbel continues.
The “Best of Consulting” title is issued by WirtschaftsWoche every year and honors Germany’s best corporate consulting.
