On August 20, the games began!
For the first time, we presented ourselves at our own trade show booth at Gamescom in Cologne. It was a great opportunity to introduce our technology and get into the game as an employer for digital jobs.
Which technologies did we take to Gamescom 2019 with us?
1. The Virtual Retail Lab
Specifically for Gamescom, we built a virtual city with our Virtual Retail Lab (VRL), including our Mercedes-Benz Consulting building. This let visitors experience in 3D what awaits them and how things look at MC.
We use the VRL during our everyday work to assist and advise our customers with new concepts and ideas through visual representations.
2. Brain2gain — Expand your knowledge through Play
With MC’s brain2gain quiz app, visitors could face off, test their knowledge, and gain interesting insights about us, our teams, and our projects.
With the app’s focus being on playfully imparting knowledge and learning content, it is naturally part of our everyday work. Currently, for example, we’re testing the use of brain2gain for exam preparation in training diagnosis technicians. Internally, we use the app to bring MC-related topics to the whole staff.
