September 2021
In autumn 2021, we officially signed on to WIN-Charta Baden-Württemberg. In doing so, we’ve made an important commitment to Baden-Württemberg’s sustainability management system specifically for small and mid-sized businesses in the state.
WIN-Charta goes back to Baden-Württemberg’s state sustainability strategy. It was launched in May 2014 and represents a voluntary commitment to sustainability and regular issuance of a written sustainability report. By joining, we have officially committed to 12 guiding principles and goals of sustainable business. Their content covers three dimensions of sustainability: Economy, Ecology and Society.
“In joining WIN-Charta, we commit ourselves to economic, ecological and social responsibility, and at the same time show our identification with the region,” says Walter Konzmann, CEO Mercedes-Benz Consulting.
WIN-Charta is especially suitable for mid-sized companies, because it involves easy implementation, high transparency and the goal of gradually improving sustainability. Through their individual commitment, the companies aim at specific verifiable goals aligned with the 12 guiding principles.
The 12 guiding principles are:
- Human rights and employee rights
- Employee welfare
- Stakeholder groups
- Resources
- Energy and emissions
- Product responsibility
- Corporate success and jobs
- Sustainable innovation
- Financial decisions
- Anti-corruption
- Benefits for the region
- Incentives to think in new ways
